Fauna & Flora

Fauna:

The Memel area is better known as a prime birding destination, as it plays host to a number of South African endemic bird species, as well as a number of Red Data Book species.

Heron, Stork, Ibis, the Blue Crane and the beautiful Mahem can be seen.

Flora:

Cosmos season lasts from late February to early May, although the flowers are at their peak in March and April. They offer unforgettable shots for photographers along with the breath taking sunsets, star-filled skies at night and spectacular thunderstorms. We also have Protea and other indigenous wild flowers to discover.
